Good electric guitar

It might be a little early for him well our son will be seven next year. I thought it would be a good time to start teaching him how to play a good Electric Guitar. I started playing when I was a teenager nobody taught me I just learned myself out of books I ordered through the mail. I didn't stay at it constantly but within two years there was just about nothing I couldn't play. My mom and dad were so proud of my accomplishment.

Winter colds

You do your best all winter to not get a cold but when you have kids in school specially little ones its almost impossible. You feed them the good stuff vegetables etc. give them the vitamins and they still get sick. We wnet over to the schoolone day to pick up ourson early, looking into the classroom the girl next to our son sneezed directly on him. How are you going to protect him from that? So he got the cold brought it home to us and it could take up to ten days to clear our systems.

Superfeet insoles here

My husband's feet were always killing him. Besides the break here and there sometimes he is on his feet for fourteen hours. Before buying his new insoles for his work boots he would come home and slip on a very expensive pair of sandals that made his feet feel better. After searching online for three sets of insoles he found superfeet insoles here he needed one set for his sneakers one for his shoes and another for his work boots. At least now his pains were gone.

Filipino-American Association of Central New York Party

Well, this years Filipino-American Association of Central New York's gathering was truly a success. The organizers of the event picked out a nice location. It was at Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center the heart of Syracuse University. The bathroom reflects how clean the hotel is. I always say if the bathroom is clean the other part of the hotel is clean also. Although it may not be always the case on most hotels I would give it a rank of 4 stars total out of 5. Food menu 4, services 4, best of all cleanliness 4. I love the decor of our table its simple yet elegant. Meeting a lot of nice old friends and meeting new friends is worth going to the party. All in all my husband and I had such a good time there. Can't wait for next year's event.

Little snow

We had a little bit of snow the other day just about 4 inches. My husband has been dieing to ride the ski doo mxzx. He started it up called for me to hop on. We were able to do three laps around our property before hitting dirt with the skis at that time. We put it up and awaited for the next snow fall to New York.

Inquisitive mind

My son is at that age where he is finally made it into first grade and the world is starting to open up to him. So many new questions everyday. Sometimes I don't have the answers. He is so inquisitive about everything it just brings a big smile to your face when you sit down and explain about things. Now if he can only hold his questions 'till after I'm done cooking would be a good thing.

Weathervanes for sale

My husband used to for for a restoration company in Central New York. Some of the architectural moldings that he's replaced are just incredible. Making molds of a good part of the structure then copying it, slowly overlaying it to create an entire new piece is very time consuming. I remember the one time that he found himself on a lift removing a weathervane that was over a hundred years old on a barn in Pennsylvania. He called me to search for weathervanes for sale on the net. I found three that was so close that you couldn't tell them from the originals. It saved him hours and hours of time by buying these instead of making these from scratch.

Australian Mocs

I was over to my girlfriends house and she gave me a sneak peek at one of the things that her husband bought her for Christmas. She had asked for a pair of house sleepers. Her husband had bought her a pair of woman's moccasins. They were not your normal moccasins from around here. They were Plymouth mocs. She let me try them on and they were so warm and comfortable they are a hundred percent natural Australian MERINO wool lining. I hope my husband has time to get me a pair for Christmas.

Top ultrabooks

Christmas is coming and the stores are already packed with lots of specials just to get you inside. Let's face it giving away something for nothing always draws a crowd. After you're there you're sure to buy something so they win. There are always family or friends that are hard to buy for. First I went store to store looking at all the different PC's for my step daughter and now it is as online search for the top ultrabooks. I never knew that there was so much information to look into to find the best.

Filipino delicacy

I can't believe I was watching the food channel with Andrew Zimmern . He was visiting the Philippines and one of the different foods that they had there was "balot". They described it as a sixteen day old duck egg which has the fertilized embryo growing inside. They steam this and its called a delicacy in the Philippines. Totally grossed me out when Andrew ate one.

Church chairs online

A friend of mine stopped in the other day he works with the fire department. He's always trying to get me volunteer to help with the Friday night fish fry. It draws in a huge crowd in a small town. I went down this week just to see if I can help for a couple of hours of preparation. Waiting for my son to come home from school I heard the discussion that they were needing more chairs in the conference room and I recommended to them church chairs online after helping my minister search about a month ago they have the best pricing.

Hot wheels mini

My son is having so much fun playing with his micro hot wheel city. Its so awesome its a little city all folded up inside of this van. Over the years he has collected quite a few cars he doesn't just played with it at home. Its something nice to bring on the road or over to grandma's when we stay for a while keeps him busy.

Buy acid cigars

It's been quite a few years that I've got together with all my girl friends. We decided to have a pajama party on my house. The main theme was bring something unusual that you like that maybe your friends don't know about. Its hard for me to even start telling you about this. Except for the gadgets that some of the girls brought with them the most unusual was a full box of cigars. Her husband had told her to buy acid cigars a month earlier. He had not gotten around to them and what her husband didn't know was she loved smoking them as much as he did.

Cravings

A lot of nights were so busy doing so many different things its tough to get a good meal in. Some nights were eating at fast food restaurants I just can't stand it compared to our home cooked meals but its fast and its done with. One item on the go that I found that I really like a lot  is tomato juice. If I sip on this during the day it takes my craving away from snacking later at night.

Ski Clothing

It's so unusual to me the difference in the climate after being relocated to New York State from the Philippines. I had never seen snow or felt a cold. What a shock it was. I am glad that there is different fun things to do outdoors in the winter. Riding a snowmobile with my son was one of the more exciting things that we've done. My husband decided to take me skiing that was a scary thing but after buying all the nice Ski Clothing I couldn't say no. I ended up on the bunny slope all day practicing. He stayed for a couple of hours then went down some of the big hills before we ended up setting in front of the big fire place at the lodge drinking hot coco with marshmallows. All in all it was a great experience.

Halloween time

Its Halloween time again and this year we took our regular trip to the pumpkin patch. They have so many big pumpkins its so hard to choose. After about forty five minutes of going round and round the pumpkin patch we found our ideal pumpkins. We picked up also some corn stalks and some little very colorful gourds to decorate around our front door.

Electric fireplace entertainment center

Renovating our two family house was exciting. With a little bit of creativity we turn the apartments into high end rentals. Shopping around for unique bargains was our plan. Between two places came up with everything we needed. Even the old kitchens were converted into beautiful maple cabinets. In the family room of both places we installed electric fireplace entertainment center. It was the highlight and a focal point of the room.

Electric mower

A few years back we only had a small amount of grass area in our backyard so I used to just use the weed whacker to take care of all the trimming. Now that we extended the backyard with top soil and added seed the yard is a little bit big for a weed whacker but not big enough for a gas mower. So I found a small electric hand pushed mower with a 14 inch live cutting path that works perfect for our area.

Numark ns6 musicians friend

My son's been working very hard this summer and saving every dime he can to put into his band. His two other buddies are doing pretty good themselves. Sometime around the first of next year they're planning on buying a numark ns6 musicians friend. It might seem to be a little overboard for what they're doing but anything to progress their sound will work out good for the future.

New shed

Two weeks from now after my husband's done with the nuclear shut down as a carpenter, we plan on building a new shed addition to the old shed. I can't wait to be able to pick up and organize all my gardening equipment and tools that i use for my home crafts.

Big brother gifts

It seems like there's always a competition in this family when it comes to birthday gifts and Christmas gifts. The only person that makes out is the recipient of the gift. Every year the gifts seemed to get better or bigger or smaller to out do the last year's gifts. A lot of times at the different parties its like everybody sits like on pins and needles 'till the last gift is opened. Myself, I don't go there I figure my gift is usually unique and its a nice gift. And one that they may use throughout the years. As in big brother gifts they're unique.

First twelve hour night shift

Well my husband made it through his first 12 hour night shift the only problem is he came home and can only sleep four hours. Thinking about  going into a dry well of a nuclear reactor for a first time kind of scares him. They wear all as much as possible protective clothing and meters thermometer the doze of radiation but it still a high doze area. Makes you wonder if it is really worth it.

C clamps

For the last two years I've been doing home assembly small parts at my house. Some of the special jigs I've made up are like an extra set of hands. Everytime I turned around I'm always thinking of an innovative c clamps. The latest thing that works terrific for me is a twist c clamp. By putting this at the corner of my table I'm able to lift the work at the proper elevation to attach several different things. It is challenging but most of the time is fun.

Hard work

My husband's sleep habit are so screwed up and they're going to get worse. Starting Sunday night at seven o'clock he will be going on a 12 hour shift. They are estimating at least seventeen days straight. being that there's 12 hours  between the end and the start of a new shift I guess they just keep on going and going hopefully my husband's strength can hold up for this duration.

Tim Kennedy mma

I'm starting Christmas shopping early. I've already got the kids done and wrapped and hid away. next week if I have time I would start on my husband's Christmas list that I forced out of him a couple of weeks ago. I'll never understand the reasoning behind men that have good tools but want more. But then again they could probably say about women in their shoes. A couple of awesome things I've found at tim kennedy mma my husband won't expect at all but I know they'll look good on him after he completes his diet in November.

Hoarding candles

My husband came up to me last Saturday morning and said  did you happen to notice what we have too many of around the house? I looked at him and looked around the room and I guess I just haven't noticed as busy as we've been for the last five years  I've collected over thirty five candles. They look nice but they're maybe a few too many. After we discussed this I mentioned to him about how many collections of tool sets he has.

Beach houses

After working hard all summer  we decided to fly down to see my mother in law. We hope to retire to Florida one day and it would be nice to find the house close to the beach. The only thing we worry about though is hurricanes. When we were down there we looked at quite a few properties but we found out beach houses at BeachHouse.com. Saves us so much time and money by looking at them online.

Busy days

So busy these days with getting our six year old ready for school. My husband going back to school and finally mommy get sometime alone. It was so quiet in the house today. I decided to put in some of my workout DVDs that I put off for so long. It was a lot of fun dancing around but it was still lonely.

Ridiculous layout

I am having a hard time figuring out my fb profile layout that according to fb they will automatically change my old to new timeline. I still have six days before this could happen but do I have a choice? According to the searches I made there is no way you can restore your old fb profile ones they activated the timeline. I guess its mandatory?

Midnight diet

I started to diet a couple of weeks ago it's going okay. The only problem I have is being hungry in the middle of the night that wakes me up. I ended up going to the refrigerator staring in there so many things that I can't have. So I grab my glass of water and my bag of carrots and sit down to eat 'till I feel tired again.

Plastic business cards by plastic printers

It seemed like it took months to get everything together for the new store opening. Besides all the multiple ways we advertised the grand opening we still weren't sure if we were the going to get the crowd that we wanted. So we even advertise the first two hundred people to have their choice of a hotdog or sausage on a roll out front from the vendor. Besides all the free stuff that we give away I was really impressed with the plastic business cards by plastic printers that we had done up as a special two sided discount card.

PH balance

For everybody out there that has a swimming pool or jacuzzi we just like to say be very careful when you're balancing the different chemicals to get your water to the right PH. If its a little too high it could irritate your skin to give you a red rash even if you're not so sensitive the things like these. Just don't let the kids hop in when the balance is wrong. You could have a bunch of itchy kids.

Pharmacy counter

Health insurance is so expensive these days and any time you need a prescription you have your co pay which cost you more money and then usually the insurance doesn't cover everything. So it's money after money after money. You might as well go online to http://www.shoppharmacycounter.com/t-Adipex-Medicine.aspx, at least you can research to see if they have the medicine that you are looking for.

Swords on the wall

My husband surprised me the other day. I'd only been waiting about two months for him to pick up wall mounting brackets to hang up the three swords that we bought months ago. I was only outside for about half an hour and I came back in and he had it all done. They're mounted on a marble wall behind our wood stove. Came out so nice.

I coloniali

My husband and I decided to go on our own retreat. We dropped off our son at our trusted baby sitters and away we went. We ended up in a little cottage in Old Forge New York. It was so hot that day. The first thing we did was go in the swimming pool after that a long hot shower felt so good. My husband surprised me with some massage cream that he had ordered online from I coloniali. It was so relaxing that I fell asleep. My husband woke me two hours later for dinner.

Finding dog shampoo

All the time I'm buying different shampooes for our dog. Nothing seems to get rid of her dry skin and her itching. Until the other day I read the bottle of head and shoulders shampoo and I decided to give it a try. She has never felt better and her dry skin seems to have disappeared overnight and no more itching.

Piggy banks for kids

Trying to set up a unique birthday party for my five year old this year is driving me nuts. Some of his friends from school we don't have their phone numbers. So we are relying on friends of friends for contact information. We found out one of his friends that gave him the piggy banks for kids last year has moved away since school has been out. My son says its too bad that he didn't get a chance to say goodbye.

Dinner at my mom in law

I went over to my mother in law's for dinner tonight and I can't believe in the middle of July she made  a full Easter type dinner which was very delicious. Everybody seemed to be very happy with it. I know that there wasn't much of anything left for clean up and for desert we had extremely iced cold water melon. All in all it was a yummy night.

Portable stanchions

We were half done doing renovations on our store and there wasn't anymore time left.  Our grand reopening was in one day and we needed a way to keep people out of one part of our store. Besides having the white plastic sheets down to keep any dust out of the half that was done, we used portable stanchions. Everything was doing fine until one lady tipped one over and tore the plastic down. Its a good thing that we had extra guys on hand to take care of the ripped plastic.

Jacuzzi time

Just in time for the hot weather. My sister in law plans on selling their house so they asked my husband and myself if we would tear down their old deck we could have the jacuzzi that was setting on top of it. That's a no brainer. So we removed the jacuzzi tore down the deck brought it to our house and rebuilt it again. How nice to hop in.

PC america

Our inventory in our little store was out of control we just needed more room but searching for a place seemed to take forever. Once we found it was the jump there affordable or not. Just the extra shelving and the labor of the move set us back thousands of dollars. When it came to updating our system we found exactly what we needed at pcamerica. Our cash registers now have so much more diversity.

The Unicorn song

As I was browsing online I landed on this beautiful song called "The Unicorn Song". Its a happy song that my 5 year old loved to hear. This song is by the Irish Rovers. You'll find videos of this song on www.youtube.com just type in the title on their search bar. See if you like it :-)

A long time ago, when the Earth was green
There was more kinds of animals than you've ever seen
They'd run around free while the Earth was being born
And the loveliest of all was the unicorn

There was green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
The loveliest of all was the unicorn

The Lord seen some sinning and it gave Him pain
And He says, "Stand back, I'm going to make it rain"
He says, "Hey Noah, I'll tell you what to do
Build me a floating zoo,
and take some of those...

Green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
Don't you forget my unicorns

Old Noah was there to answer the call
He finished up making the ark just as the rain started to fall
He marched the animals two by two
And he called out as they came through
Hey Lord,

I've got green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but Lord, I'm so forlorn
I just can't find no unicorns"

And Noah looked out through the driving rain
Them unicorns were hiding, playing silly games
Kicking and splashing while the rain was falling
Oh, them silly unicorns

There was green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Noah cried, "Close the door because the rain is falling
And we just can't wait for no unicorns"

The ark started moving, it drifted with the tide
The unicorns looked up from the rocks and they cried
And the waters came down and sort of floated them away
That's why you never see unicorns to this very day

You'll see green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
You're never gonna see no unicorns

[New Lyrics]
Now you might think this is the ending to the song,
But I'll have to tell you friends that in fact you're wrong
You see, Unicorns are magical, so when the rain started pouring,
They grew themselves some wings and they took to soaring.

You'll see green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
But if you're looking for the unicorns, don't be forlorn,
The second star to the right and straight on until morning.

A long time ago, when the Earth was green

Life insurance

My husband started out a small business years ago he said it took a lot of time to get the word around about the good work that they were doing. One of the main things is really  a need to know ordeal. When you don't know something you don't know that you may be doing it wrong. When it came to the insurances of the business he needed one million to work on the job not the one half a million. he was always complaining that he was insurance poor with the comment that his life insurance at equote.com was really the only insurance that was reasonably priced.

Gaining wieght

My husband gained some weight over the last eight years since I been feeding him. Before that he didn't really eat properly or eat enough. He was too skinny but now he feels he is twenty pounds overweight. I don't think he is. It just gives me more to hug. he has made up his own diet of three 32 ounce Gatorade a day and comes home to a reasonable supper. It is still too early to tell if this is going to work because I think he is waking up at night from the hunger feeling.

Mesothelioma treatment

I hate even hearing the word cancer. When in fact the word covers so many different areas it is scary. My brother in law passed away from cancer. They say he waited too long in reality he died of kidney failure from the chemotherapy and all they have to say is he waited too long? I think that they should have used lower dosages over a longer period of time. I hope that Mesothelioma treatment can be more helpful for other forms of cancer for other people.

USB/TV plug in

What will they think of next? Some of my TV shows that I can't find in USA I really miss. I looked online but it is not really that affordable . As I was reading a magazine the other day I seen a little ad for a USB plug in that will give you over 2000 Internet channels and 9000 radio station all over the world with our PC to TV hook up. I cant wait to see my shows again.

Art supplies

We just can't figure out what to get our daughter for her birthday. There's only four days left and I refused to get her just a gift card. She's turning fourteen and that's kind of a weird age stuck between a child and a young adult. One thing that I can always depend on is she is never lost interest in is her art ability when it comes to drawing. There are so many different art supplies that is is low at. Right now I think we'll just replenish her supplies.

VHS-DVD Conversion

Over the years we had so many movies on VHS of the kids growing up. I asked my husband to look into converting them into DVD form. It would be so nice to send some of these to my family on the other side of this world. My husband found a converter for only 30 dollars that works great it was at Heartland America. What a deal! Now a have to find the time to convert over three hundred hours of tape that will take awhile.

Fire pits

We always notice that there is always something missing in the backyard. We have our flower garden and our wonderful little vegetable garden  that between the rabbits and the chipmunks even with the fencing, sometimes they find a way to get into it. Sitting outback one day with friends one mentioned that they had a nice fire pit like we used to have it in my parents when we were growing up. So we decided to look into the different styles at http://www.firepits.com. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we'll decide.

Beach nut tree

Our tenant house in Fulton has an extremely large beach tree outback. So big that it darkens the whole yard and back. In one season it sheds enough beach nut. As you pick this up and bagged them this is after the squirrels have eaten all the nuts the weight of the empty shells is almost two hundred pounds in weight. You can just about imagine how many squirrels and chipmunks that are happy for this tree.

Paint work on a boat

Who was to know painting the bottom of a boat was so hard. First jack it up off the trailer so you can scrap and paint in that spot  and then  all the scraping of the whole bottom. Next primer the bottom but you need multiple coats at a certain time frame or you have to sand in between coats, next the same with the paint you have to be fast or sand between coats. The cost is over 350 dollars no wonder the guy wanted 700 to do it.

Wedding photographer philadelphia

It's so much extreme pressure trying to set up all the wedding plannings from a long distance. I'm here in New York and my girlfriend is in Pennsylvania that is getting married. She is running to a lot of problems with her job and the timing to plan everything. Some days she work ten hours and six days a week. Finding a wedding photographer philadelphia is a little tough for me but I have to do it so I'm just going by the ratings that I found online.

Crazy people

It's such a pain to put anything on the craigslist I swear people don't read your ad. They ask you the same question over and over again that I already answered on the ad itself.  Some people are actually so crazy that they ask you how long an apartment is going to be available because they're looking for something in the fall. They must be stupid to think that we would leave an INCOME apartment empty for six months waiting for them? Now that is totally insane!

2004 Polaris predator atv stickers

What a difference it makes. My husband bought a set up graphic stickers to put on our 2004 Polaris predator. By doing a little touch up on a paint job installing the new stickers and adding a new seat cover our ATV looks like we bought a new one. The graphics are orange and black with silver highlights. Its so bright when the sun hits it.

Rain water barrel

Rain water is always so much better for the garden rather than city water and of course it doesn't cost as much. We bought a fifty five galloon plastic barrel from the yard sale went to Harbour Freight and bought a submergeable pump that we could put in the barrel attached in the garden hose. My husband even installed a gfi protected switch so I can turn it on and off to water the garden.

Windshields for motorcycles

Because of the higher prices of gas again we're thinking about putting our little Honda back on the road for the summer. We just always worry about someone pulling out in front of us and ending our lives. People just don't see motorcycles coming when there is a vehicle behind them  even though you are way in front of the vehicle behind you they only see the space between them and the vehicle behind you. And of course you could be a lot farther ahead of that vehicle. The motorcycles head light blends in with the vehicles headlight behind them causing this crash. Three years ago my husband went in a ditch after being hit in the throat by a bumble bee at 65 mph.  After that day he looked into windshields for motorcycles and has learned since to stay behind the windshield.

Night gown

Our anniversary is coming up and my husband says that he doesn't know what to buy me. So I shop around and found this very nice and somewhat conservative night gown for our special night out. I hope he appreciates it because the color  is somewhat different. It caught my eye specially the lace.

Jogging stroller for infants

It had been many years thinking about it but finally we are on our way to Walt Disney World.  Good thing my husband has been there before even though it had been many years. We made sure that we had our jogging stoller for infants with us. From the time we get into Walt Disney World and by the time we leave more than ten hours has gone by. There is too much walking inside to not have a stroller for your little one along with the other things you may bring for the day.

Oldies band

A few times a year that we happen to get out  we like finding a place that's having a band that plays good oldies songs. Its getting to be almost impossible to find this anymore. Sometimes we start looking months in advance so we can go out and have a nice time with our friends.

Hammock stand

This year were building a nice sun porch. It will be second storey so a lot of effort will go into the concrete footers that will be in the ground supporting the whole weight of the porch with the normal extra heavy snow weight in New York State. I can't believe that we have to pay three hundred dollars for an engineer to say it's okay the way that we're building it. Anyhow enough for the bad stuff. My focus is on the inside. To start with Hammocks.com hammock stand the possibilities are endless as how I arranged it in the room.

Heater

Trying to cut back on utility bills these days is hard to do. We went to one of those new high tech electric heaters that they say can run about a dollar a day. For that dollar a day the people that tested these things must have been in a very small room with no doors or windows for any kind of leakage of air. Our house is a tight house and still this little electric heater in an open room doesn't really heat all areas as they say. Yes it will keep a room warm but the heat doesn't seem to spread out.

Best testosterone boosters

My girlfriend was talking to me the other day about the frustrating problems her and her husband are having. With them being older than us at least I might be able to anticipate the same thing with my husband. Being she was going on vacation I decided to do a search for the best testosterone boosters that I could find. The products out there are endless and sometimes the reviews are overrated. It depends on the individual as to how the product works.

Spare room heating

Years ago we split our house in half which really limits the room for my son to play with his toys. We have an extra back porch type room buy its not heated so it is very uninviting in the winter time for him to play out there. So for next year we'll be buying a free standing look alike wood stove and has 1500 watts of electric heating power with the blower so at least we can turn it on and warm up the room first.

Quick step eligna

Years ago we decided to buy a one family house and convert it into a two family house. It seemed nice at first. My husband being a contractor carpenter can conquer anything he sets his mind to. Originally the downstairs there was good rug flooring throughout the livingrom area. As tenants come and tenants go the rug was looking pretty dreary. This time we will replace it with quick step eligna flooring which seems to be just about bullet proof and we hope to get many many years of use out of it.

One ant of thousands

After days on end of my husband's twelve hour shifts they finally gave  him one day off. Working on a time schedule of forty days after they shut down the facility for repairs its a very fast paced environment trying to do repairs and getting the power company back up and running. My husband says he feels like he's one ant of thousands crawling over everything in the plant to make sure the job is done in a quality pace.

Blackberry curve

I've had an iPhone for quite sometime and for the most part I like it but I've had a few problems with the apps. Even though I'll download off a high speed wi fi it seems to take forever maybe I'm just not patient enough. I've looked into a lot of phones but the one that really suits my needs is the blackberry curve. It's going to be so much more convenient when it comes to my work contacts and how i communicate with them everyday.

Security

Before leaving on our big trip to Walt-Disney World there was so much preparation. We had to get a house sitter that we could trust to come in once a day to take care of our pets. Its not easy trusting just anyone to come into your house. Just to have a little piece of mind my husband changed out the two door knobs on our bedrooms for lock sets so we didn't have to worry about any intrusion into our bedrooms.

Class ring value

The search is on. Its all about starting early looking here and looking there for class ring value. I remember not having very much time when it came to buying mine many years ago. But when it comes my husbands daughter so far we've looked at three different companies so were narrowing down the search to which one she likes best. Just like any other  young girl every time she thinks she makes up her mind she changes it.

Harbor Freight tools

So many different things in that store its hard to get my husband out of there in less than an hour. Whenever comes to tools that you want to get a reasonable price on we always end up at Harbor Freight. The tools might not be as heavy duty as others you can buy at brand name stores but lets face it if its a proper tool for the job saving some money is what its all about.

Bunn coffeemaker

Its tough to find something for my mother in law for her birthday.  But last time I was down in Florida at her house I noticed her coffee maker must be at least ten years old. Its not really looking that well even though she took good care of it. I decided to get her some of the English coffee that she likes along with a new bunn coffeemaker.  Now knowing mom she'll probably keep on using her old one until it breaks and only break out the new one for special occasions.

Losing weight

My husband is going to work over to the power plant from anywhere from 28 days to 45 days. He has made a deal with me that he is going to lose ten pounds so I have to lose ten pounds while he is working. I'll be practicing my Zumba moves in order to have enough exercise to at least lose close to a half a pound a day. Years ago this was easy but as you grow older its extremely tough. I just hope I can do it.

Plus size black dresses

We're standing outdoors the other day and I thought I heard a band rehearsing along with some girls voices. So as my husband pulled in the driveway I asked him if he wanted to take a walk up the street. So we walked up the street and seen Paul's garage open, Paul is our next door neighbor. As we walked down the driveway we could see five girls including Krista his daughter all dressed in plus size black dresses. They also had baby blue sneakers on and baby blue head bands. Quite a sights at least they sounded terrible but they all look so cute.

Treasure hunting on yard sales

I always love going to yard sales its like treasure hunting. I'm always looking through old jewelry boxes. A lot of times people think costume jewelry is costume jewelry. If you look closer and know what to look for you can find lots of real gold. The picture next to this with the ring and earrings I paid a $1.50 for the collection. The ring and the fancy earrings are solid gold the hoops are 14k filled. All in all it was a good deal for my money.

Cleopatras Choice black soap

Growing up in the Philippines was such challenge especially when it came to the extremely hot and dusty environment. The average day in my neighborhood was around 90 degrees. When I was younger I had an extreme case of acne that wasn't everyday job keeping it under control. Besides my monthly trip to the dermatologist one of the things I used to help me is Cleopatras Choice black soap. I think it has a lot to do with the Shea butter that its made of also with my mom started to use it she noticed a huge decrease in her eczema.

Running the wood stove fireplace

It's really crazy its so cold today with up to 50mph wind gust. Last week was almost like spring was here to stay. Even today is nice and sunny but you change your mind of going outdoors when you open the front door and it just about knocks you over. At least we have the sun to cheer us up as we stay in and start the wood stove up for heat for another week.

Miller welders

Growing up the the seventies in Central New York my husband was telling me stories about how different it was. You had to be much more efficient and innovative. He tell so many different stories of living on the farm back then. The nearest bigger store was thirty miles away and if you didn't get a ride you were walking four miles to school each day. The winters back then could bring up to eight foot of snow in a short period of time.

At twelve years old he can remember his dad looking at a selection of miller welders at the tractor store. If it wasn't for that welder at different times over the years a lot of farm equipment would not have been repaired as fast as they were. His dad put the chore of learning how to use it on my husband at the early age of twelve. After a few months my husband was welding on a weekly  basis for neighbors also.

Part time working online as eBay seller

I  got this itch one day to sell things online so I put some stuff like clothes up for sale. The problem was is it took me about 2 hours first of sorting. Then finally  deciding that I should part with them with my eyes closed. Its kind of tough to get rid of things you love so much but somehow I overcame it at least for this time. Taking pictures was my next step then uploading it to the PC. I didn't realize that you have to be specific on the descriptions.  To put it  on eBay take some time thank goodness for my hubby who patiently taught me how to go through the whole thing. Listing it on eBay is free as long as you only have a single picture uploaded to their site but if you want more pictures they will charge you a few cents and that's fine also.  Watching the bid go up is so exciting.  I think  I'm gonna be listing more items soon.

Ups and downs desk

Exercise is so important these days specially as you get older. They found recently that sitting at a desk all day is extremely bad for your health. The latest things over in Japan is actually a pop up desk, you could either sit at a desk or you could stand up and by releasing a button the desk springs up so its in a taller mode and you can stand at your desk. The next thing you know they'll be putting a thread mill under your desk so you can jog at the same time so you stay extremely fit at a non physical job.

Multi power tool

Being I consider myself very handy around the house I mentioned to my mother in law that for my birthday I'd like to have one of those new oscillating multi tools. She looked at me kind of funny and replied can't my husband do these things. Well, I replied you know what they say about carpenters the last place that they finish is their own home. This little multi tool can help me re do the grout on the tub along with stripping that old caulk around the back splash of the kitchen sink. Things I've been wanting to get done but my husband just doesn't have the time.

Travelling adventures

Travelling around this world on different airlines can always be stressful funny. I can remember having to travel all the way from  Philippines to the United States.  It didn't bother me so much because I knew I can communicate with people in the English language. English is the  second language in the Philippines so that gives me a bonus.

The problem I had was switching flights in Japan. First you have to find someone that speaks English. Unfortunately, they don't speak English and I had a tough time understanding a sign language. Travelling alone has always kept me on edge, always checking the airport display screen to make sure my flight is on time. Thank goodness for today's technology with telephones I was able to confirm the flight was there. Today's technology is so great.

The tradesmen

I think my husband is right. He said the other day that so many of these college kids are taking technical courses that the jobs for technical professionals now is a losing career. You hear of so many college kids  coming out of college and the job outlook for them is very bleak. My husband said by the year 2020 it will be the skilled tradesmen  that makes 300 dollars an hour and the technical professionals will only be making a small income.

Achievements for our Little Buckaroo

We got up early this morning to get ready to go to the school for my son's recognition day. At five years old he is already been chosen out of three hundred kindergarteners for a district-wide recognition for his overall achievements in his class. Some of the abilities that they graded on besides his grade were  consistently does his best, work is of high quality, respectful toward others, class work is consistently turned in on time, works well with others, seeks assistance when needed, uses time wisely . The list goes on and on but we are very proud of our little guy. His nickname from Daddy is his "Little Buckaroo".

110CC Mini Truck

When my husband was a little boy he use to have a cast iron pedal tractor just like this except for this one has a 110 cc motor in it so the add says. The only problem is you have to ship it from China or that's at least the only place we found it online. Years ago over in the Philippines they had something similar to this that I seen one of the farmers son was stuck with it in a rice paddy.

Adventures by the creek

Finally we got out of the house with the assumption that spring is coming early. Its been a weird winter. I've never seen it jumping to the high 30's and low 40's through the whole month of February. Weirder yet we've had just about ten total inches of snow which just melts in a couple of days after it arrived here. My husband tells me that this is only the second time in forty years that he could remember.

We always take our journey down the small creek as we do we crossed the old railroad tracks that our son loves to watch the big trains going by. When we go to leave the railroad area we always pick up some small stones, we call these our wishing stones take them down to the creek and one by one we say our wishes and throw them in. Its been a tradition for many years.

Picky eater or not

When I was young there was eat what was on your plate or go without. There wasn't anything called snacks in the house unless mom made a desert. Once in a while my mom would make chocolate chip cookies. Luckily I was usually the first one home from school to get the first pick of those delicious cookies. These days with my son it just seems that there are too many snacks in the house. We keep a lot of fruit on hand but he still craves for his squeezed tube yogurt. When it comes to supper we have to enforce the rules of eating what's on his plate. Most of the time he is very particular but at least he likes all sorts of vegetables.

Morning walks

Being inside the house all day can make anybody feel groggy. I opened the curtains and  unlike yesterday the warm sun of today feels good for a change. The temperature at 34 °F is not bad at all with bright sunshine is so inviting to go for a walk just making sure we're appropriately dressed for the weather.  We love going to a nearby creek past the railroad track. In there we can pick up small rocks to throw on the water and make wishes.  The wishes part is something my husband started when his daughter was very young on their weekend walks.

Gardening

I can't wait for spring to get here even though this has been the unusual winter with mostly no snow. That is just about unheard of in Central New York. Going outdoors and breaking ground again for my new garden with a new plan with different vegetables this year has got me so excited. Also we are planting pumpkins this year and I hope that they turn out huge. That will be fun.

Snowmobile stranded without snow

For the last three weeks and most of the winter before that our snowmobile has been stuck in the front yard. It looked like a small snow island that it had been deserted on. I thought for sure we weren't going to get anymore snow but at least today we're having about five inches of snow lake effect coming off Lake Ontario. So tomorrow Daddy will start the snowmobile up and move it closer to the garage for storage for next year. Of course after he rides it a few minutes.

Change in weather

Here we go again with our weather 35,40 degree day and then the weekend comes. I can't believe  that the high for today is going to be  15 degrees. We went  a whole  six weeks without a cold in the house. This weather going up and down always promotes colds and of course our five year old comes home sneezing on Thursday. Now its the beginning of everyone slowly getting sick in the house.

Chocolate stories to remember

I was in the kitchen making up a chocolate cake as my son ran in with puppy dog eyes just staring at the bowl that I was mixing. I asked him what he wanted and he said "mommy I'm just waiting for the bowl so I can lick it clean". Apparently Daddy had told him the story of his favorite times watching his mom mix up from scratch a chocolate cake and how he would wait hours if he had to to get his hands on that delicious bowl of chocolate mix.

School on a two hour delay due to lake effect snow

Its been a real mild winter we only had one good base of snow and that disappeared last week with all the warm weather and the rain. The weather forecaster last night only predicted two to three inches of snow and we awoke to eight inches of snow at six in the morning. With schools being on a two hour delay and our son already dressed anticipating a fun day with his classmates he's kind of depressed waiting for the bus.

1975 Italian Vespa Piaggio Super VVC

I would so much love to own one of this. This particular one is in great shape for being 35 plus years old. Amazing! No rust and the owner has gone through and replaces all the parts that would normally wear out on a vehicle this old. It takes me back to my younger days when back In the Philippines my Papa had pretty much the same vehicle and how excited I was waiting for him each morning to give me a ride to school.
